Although Peru has established itself as the world’s largest exporter of blueberries, this season has been marked by various challenges that have impacted production. This was noted in the December report by Proarándanos, the country’s association of producers and exporters, which projected that, during the 2025–2026 season, shipments of fresh blueberries will total 363,764 tons. This figure represents a decrease from the 400 million kilos initially projected.
This volume represented a 2% drop compared to the November forecast, but at the same time implies a 14% growth compared to exports recorded in the previous season.

Campaign peak
According to the report, the peak of the campaign was recorded in week 40, reaching a volume of 20,942 tons exported, reflecting the moment of greatest intensity in shipments abroad.
Main destination markets
In terms of target markets, Proarándanos projected that, during the 2025–2026 season, Peruvian blueberry shipments would be distributed as follows:

- United States: 172,031 tons.
- Europe (excluding the United Kingdom): 99,404 tons.
- China: 48,584 tons.
- United Kingdom: 19,012 tons.
- Other markets: 24,732 tons.
Share by destination market
Regarding the share of the main destinations in total blueberry exports, the report indicated that the United States would reduce its share from 55% to 47%.
Meanwhile, Europe—excluding the United Kingdom—would increase its share from 24% to 27%, while China would increase from 12% to 13%. The United Kingdom would maintain a stable share of 5%, and other destinations would increase their share from 4% to 7% compared to the 2024–2025 campaign.
