“Strategies to increase production and profitability in blueberry cultivation” was the topic presented by Sebastián Ochoa, director of Consultora Agrícola y Comercial Santa María (CASM Blueberries) and founder of Blueberries News, at the Second European Conference on Blueberry Cultivation.

The event took place on March 4 and 5 in Milan, Italy, and was organized by the company Agroconsulenze, led by Sergio Panini. The conference was attended by more than 150 growers from different parts of the world.

According to Ochoa, who also participated in last year’s training, “we had participants from Serbia, Germany, France, England, and Georgia, along with many Italian growers who attended the conference. This year we repeated the experience with updated content and a strong focus on improving productivity and fruit quality.”

During the session on March 5, attendees also had the opportunity to hold one-on-one meetings with Sebastián Ochoa, where they were able to analyze specific aspects of their agronomic and productive performance, as well as discuss strategies to improve the profitability of their operations.
