The first issue of the technical magazine Blueberries News is now available in English. The publication arises from the experience of the team at Consultora Agrícola y Comercial Santa María (CASM Blueberries), with the aim of delivering key information to a blueberry industry that is highly dynamic and constantly evolving. The magazine will publish four editions per year.
Sebastián Ochoa, director of CASM Blueberries and founder of Blueberries News, explains the origin of the project: “This project stems from a simple conviction: the most valuable knowledge is the one connected to productive reality. For years, much of the technical information has circulated in conferences, papers, or spaces far removed from growers. Our intention is to shorten that distance.”
“This magazine has been built by advisors who are permanently connected with growers, who visit fields, face real problems, and seek practical solutions to improve productivity, quality, and profitability. Here you will not find only theory: you will find field experiences, applied technical analysis, agronomic management based on results, and an open discussion about the challenges currently facing the blueberry industry,” Ochoa adds.
Ochoa also highlights the context in which the magazine emerges: “The industry is changing rapidly. New varieties, new production systems, higher quality requirements, and increasingly competitive markets demand more precise, more professional, and more collaborative agriculture. We firmly believe that the future of blueberries depends on the ability to connect knowledge, experience, and production.”
