nly a few days remain before the start of the 2nd International Course on Blueberry Production Specialization, organized by CASM Blueberries, which has positioned itself as one of the technical events with the greatest scope in blueberry production held annually in Peru—a country where the consultancy advises more than 80% of the country’s blueberry production.

The event will take place from March 17 to 19, 2026, in Lima and will include two technical sessions at the Sheraton Lima Hotel, as well as a Field Day at Qali Fruit, a subsidiary of Agrícola Cerro Prieto.

The first day will feature presentations from leading national and international experts. Among them will be Fernando Villagrán, international blueberry production advisor at CASM Blueberries, and Antonia Maggiolo, head of R&D at the consultancy. They will present the lecture titled “Blueberry Nutrition and Biostimulation for High Performance: Results of the Latest Studies Conducted by CASM Blueberries.”

During their presentation, the specialists will emphasize the importance of having well-structured annual nutritional programs with continuous monitoring, since inadequate management of these variables can directly affect the productive and economic potential of the crop.

Villagrán explains that “in Peru, a large proportion of current production is carried out in pots and substrates, where nutrition and biostimulation play a fundamental role in achieving high levels of yield and fruit quality.”

Meanwhile, Maggiolo notes that the presentation will include the results of several trials carried out by the CASM Blueberries R&D team. “We will present the methodology used in the biostimulation trials, how they were conducted, and the main results obtained,” she states.
