Northern Peru’s coast will host blueberry production experts as part of the 1st International Specialized Course on Blueberry Production in Chiclayo, aimed at helping local growers strengthen and update their knowledge.

As noted by Sebastián Ochoa, director of CASM Blueberries and founder of Blueberries News, following the 2nd International Specialized Course on Blueberry Production held in Lima in March, “growers and suppliers were very pleased because they were able to do a lot of networking, and they are asking us to organize more courses in Peru this year.”

This demand led to the organization of the new event in the northern part of the country. “This came about because attendees really liked the course format, the speakers, and the topics covered, and they asked us to hold something in Chiclayo, which is a key blueberry-growing area. It was both a matter of location and of replicating more instances like the one in Lima,” Ochoa explained.

The course will take place on June 30 at the Casa Andina Hotel, featuring a day of in-person theoretical sessions, while on July 1 a field day will be held at Agrícola Cerro Prieto.
