Each month, the team led by international advisor Sebastián Ochoa prepares a high-level report on a key country in the blueberry industry, aimed at producers and key stakeholders in the value chain, providing a global and strategic perspective on the sector.
The report, titled “Chile strengthens its export role in a challenging blueberry season,” highlights that the 2025/26 campaign demonstrated the strength of Chile’s production system, with higher export volumes, dynamic markets, and steady progress in varietal replacement.
The season was marked by atypical conditions, including a harvest that advanced by nearly 20 days in the central-southern zone, along with significant climatic events such as high temperatures and off-season rainfall. Despite this context, exports reached 92,000 tons, representing a 2% increase compared to the previous season, supported by favorable prices and a solid market response.
The development of the campaign was smooth, without significant issues of market saturation, and with strong performance in regional markets such as Argentina and Brazil.
In this report, the CASM Blueberries technical team provides an in-depth analysis of the past season, the progress of varietal replacement, its main challenges, and projections for the upcoming campaign.
