According to data from Aneberries, Mexico exported a total of 3,043 tons of blueberries—including conventional fresh, organic fresh, and frozen—during Week 19 (May 3–9), representing a 4% decrease from the previous week and a 15% increase compared to the same week last season. The season-to-date total reached 62,888 tons, 17% more than during the same period of the 2024–25 season.
Weekly Summary by Segment
The country shipped 2,736 tons of conventional fresh blueberries to the United States, a 4% decrease—equivalent to 112 tons—compared to week 18. The cumulative total for the season, from week 29 to week 19, stands at 57,725 tons in this category.
Week 19 also saw a 19% increase—440 tons more—compared to the same period last season.
Regarding the price of conventional fresh blueberries at the point of shipment, the USDA reported a value of US$8.08/kg, an 18% decrease—US$1.71 less—compared to the previous week. For reference, the price for Georgia stood at US$6.44/kg, while for Florida it reached US$6.57/kg.
Meanwhile, cumulative shipments of fresh organic Mexican blueberries totaled 4,621 tons between weeks 29 and 19. During week 19, exports of this product to the United States totaled 291 tons, the same volume as the previous week.
Compared to week 19 of last season, the current season showed an increase of 11.9%, equivalent to an additional 31 tons exported.
The USDA did not report prices for Mexican organic blueberries. However, the reported price for organic blueberries from Georgia was US$8.42/kg, while that from Florida reached US$10.81/kg.
As for frozen blueberries shipped to the United States, the cumulative total for the season stands at 535,327 kilograms, a figure that exceeds exports during the same period of the previous season by more than 20%—an additional 108,322 kilograms.
