The Mexican blueberry industry continues to post higher cumulative figures than in the previous season, despite the decline observed in export volumes during week 26, corresponding to the period between June 21 and 27.
According to information from Aneberries, Mexico exported 547 tons of blueberries to the United States during week 26, including both fresh and frozen fruit. Of the total volume, 499 tons corresponded to fresh fruit and 47 tons to frozen product.
More than 73,000 tons exported so far this season
Between weeks 29 and 26 of the 2025-2026 season, Mexico accumulated blueberry exports totaling 73,185 tons to the U.S. market, representing a 16% increase compared to the 63,324 tons recorded during the same period of the previous season.
Fresh fruit continued to account for the majority of shipments, representing 95.7% of total exports, while the remaining 4.3% corresponded to frozen product.
Conventional segment accounts for the largest share of export volumes
In the conventional fresh blueberry segment, exports reached 420 tons during week 26. On a cumulative basis, this segment totals 66,796 tons so far this season, a volume higher than that recorded during the same period of the 2024-2025 season.
Meanwhile, organic blueberries posted weekly exports of 79.6 tons, while cumulative seasonal volume reached 5,609 tons, equivalent to a 31% increase compared to the previous season.
Prices remain around USD 7.84/kg
In terms of prices, Mexican conventional blueberries recorded an average FOB price of USD 7.84/kg during week 26. This value was in line with those observed during the same period for fruit originating from Georgia, California and North Carolina.
