Fedefruta is preparing to host Fruittrade 2026, an event it has organized since 2003 that has become a key meeting point for Chile’s fruit industry. This year’s event will take place on September 29 and 30 at Jardines El Mercurio, Avenida Santa María 5542, Vitacura, Santiago.
This year’s edition will be structured around nine thematic areas: cherries, table grapes, avocados, citrus, blueberries, nuts, climate, expert panel, and food. Through this program, the Federation of Fruit Producers of Chile seeks to address both the main fruit crops of the national industry and some of the factors shaping the sector’s development and competitiveness.
Among the challenges that will be part of the discussion are water availability and management, rural security, adaptation to changing climatic conditions, technological and varietal renewal, plant health, and the opening and consolidation of new markets.
For the blueberry industry, Fruittrade will once again feature a dedicated space within its thematic agenda, against a backdrop marked by the evolution of supply, the development and adoption of new genetics, and the pursuit of greater competitiveness in international markets.
