Mexico exported 60 tonnes of blueberries to the United States during week 33 of the 2026/27 season, from August 9 to 15, according to Aneberries’ weekly report.
This volume represented a 220% increase compared with the previous week and a 276% rise from the same week of the 2025/26 season, when shipments totaled 16 tonnes.
Of the weekly total, 23 tonnes corresponded to conventional fresh blueberries and 37 tonnes to frozen fruit. No fresh organic blueberry exports were recorded during the week. Frozen blueberries therefore accounted for 61% of weekly blueberry shipments, while fresh fruit represented the remaining 39%.
Between weeks 29 and 33, Mexico accumulated exports of 399 tonnes: 198 tonnes of conventional fresh blueberries, 85 tonnes of organic fresh blueberries and 116 tonnes of frozen fruit. This figure was 26% lower than the 542 tonnes recorded during the same period of the previous season.
To date, blueberries account for approximately 2.9% of the 13,631 tonnes of fresh and frozen berries exported by Mexico to the United States during the season.
For weeks 34, 35 and 36, the report forecasts blueberry exports of 3, 30 and 23 tonnes, respectively. It also notes that the USDA did not report shipping-point prices for either conventional or organic Mexican blueberries during the period analyzed.
